Ramming Speed

http://www.koat.com/news/bcso-deadly-deputy-shooting/27327258?absolute=true#!bxHT61

A deputies patrol car was hit broadside in the drivers' door by a guy in a red pickup truck.  The red truck then drives a short distance and hits another vehicle.  The red truck then turned around and struck the drivers' door of the deputies car a second time.  The driver exited the truck and was shot to death by the deputy.

Certainly the first collision may have been an accident.  The second and third collisions were definitely on purpose.  The second collision with the patrol car was apparently an attempted murder of a police officer.  In my opinion, the officer was right to shoot the suspect to defend himself.

We tend to think of deadly weapons as guns, and knives, but certainly a car can also be a deadly weapon.  The deputy had just been involved in two serious traffic collisions.  He was struck by a truck that was pounding into his car door.  He would have been dazed and confused, and was doing a great job by being aware of the threat and taking action to defend himself; that's what the SGT Says.

Good customer service often means giving people what they want. I think that guy wanted to die.
