Medical Attention

There are several mistakes that officers make that make their jobs harder.  If you have to use force on a suspect, always call for paramedics if there is even the slightest possibility that they have been injured.

You want to have them cleared by a medical professional.  If they die in police custody later, at least you can say you did your part to insure their safety.  Make sure you document that you called the paramedics and what they told you.

Failure to provide assistance to injured suspects after an incident is one of the mistakes officers make.  It looks bad if you don't help the suspect.  If suspects say they are sick or injured, take them at their word.  Get them medical attention; that's what the SGT Says.
